Roses can be harvested when all the petals (sepals) have been opened and one or two crowns (petal) has opened. Early harvesting is done when the roses are stored for a long time, but the blooms will be less than perfect, while the harvest at a more blooms, vase life is shorter obtained.

Flowers are sorted and separated according to varieties and long stems. Grading quality of roses is generally distinguished by a long stalk with multiple criteria.
The flowers that have been graded, leaves and thorns removed about 20 cm from the base of the stalk and then tied up and wrapped around each rod 10-20. This interest has wrapped the base of the stalk again immersed into a bath filled with water and then transported to the re-sale or stored in a 'cold storage'.
If the roses will be sent out of town, roses can be sent in a dry state, which is included in a cardboard box. The flowers are delivered in a cardboard box, on arrival at the destination should be soaked in clean water, but before the trunk is cut about 5 cm from the bottom of the base of the stem.
